Please note that this event has moved to improve how the show worked and was laid out to make it a much better experience for every one. So it is going to be August 22-24 2008 at Quaker City Dragway, Salem Ohio. This event is about the cars and all the people who created, have owned and raced or collected the cars. If you are worried about how shiny the car is or the right date code parts this not the event for that. We don't even care if your car is running or partly restored you should bring your car. Also this is the last time we are going to put on one of these deals. Above all I think what we did for these cars in 1993 at Carlisle and Fred Engleharts in 2006 speaks for its self. This will be the Wood Stock of Hemi cars, you should not miss this event. Thank you from Mark Janaky, Jim Kramer, Ryan Mckivigan and Dick Towers. Phone 714-547-6004 or e-mail: mail@allhemireunion.com so we can reserve your spot.

Question by Bob George

Mark, I was planning on bringing the Dart as Quaker is not too far from us, but I have been told it's by invitation only. We haven't been invited. If they don't promote this event better and get the information out I feel the sucess of this event questionable. You may have some nice cars there but the public has heard very little of this event. The little information there is,is also confusing. No one has been in touch with us,you would think Kramer would have called us.            Consider yourself invited! Let me clarify a few things for everyone. We did very little promotion for the Elkton event in 2006 - mainly because we wanted to get the cars coming and for the owners to be able to get a hotel in the area. Those of you that were there understand this - Elkton is only a few blocks long and most of the hotels were in surrounding cities. I think that most of the people that were at the 2006 event would say that it was a resounding sucess - 35+ original 68 Hemi S/S cars, many P/S, AFX, 64-67 cars and much more - there were people from CA, AZ, NY, PA, FL, SD, IA, MN, WI, IL, MI, OH, KY, WV, ect.. and even Canada (can't leave out the Canadian Consulate!). I doubt that you will see a 3-page advertisement in the magazines promoting the 2008 event although we will inform the magazines of the dates and what will be taking place. But if early responses are any indication, this event will be bigger than Elkton! I personally am shooting for (50)-68 Hemi S/S cars (we will see if that happens).

As far as being invited - ALL original 64-67 Hemi S/S, Hemi P/S & SS/AH cars are invited. We are calling and sending out invitations to all the owners of these cars (that we know) - If you have one of these cars or know someone that does, let us know that you would like to attend. Look at it this way, at what show (even the Mopar Nats)have you seen more than a couple of these cars in attendance? Most of these cars don't regularly attend shows - so we have to call them to invite/persuade them that this is an event is a gathering of these cars that may never be duplicated. A historic moment where the original owner of your car might walk up and discuss the history of your car with you - you may never get a chance for that to happen.

From what I understand (I personally have never been there) - the track has pits on both sides and we have one side for the show. The track will be running its regular program but there will be slots put aside for us to run if we choose. From what I understand this area is pretty good sized. Remember, clone Hemi S/S cars, B & E Bodies, race cars, ect... are also invited(if space is available). I have been asked if people could bring an old M/P RR with 60's paint and a crossrammed Hemi, an old SS/DA Hemi Challenger (in old paint) or an old M/P Hemi Duster - I checked with Dick and he said "bring em". If you want to bring a car - Call Dick Towers - so we can have a running tally for how many cars will be attending. We do not want to be overrun at the event, run out of space & turn cars away. There is a limited amount of space and we would like to fill this with the S/S cars first. This show is different than most as it will have a race flavor - there will not be rows of 100 Challengers, 100 Roadrunners, ect... it will mainly be old S/S, P/S, AFX, M/P cars - some of the most historic Drag cars that Chrysler produced/sponsored/raced and as such will have a limited appeal to all Mopar enthusiasts. But if you are into these cars you WILL NOT want to miss it. Don't be misled, this will be the largest gathering of this kind ever! I am not making any money on this - this show is for all of us who appreciate the cars, racers & drag racing history that made Chrysler great in the 60's & 70's. If you have any questions - do not hesitate to ask me.

Thanks,

Mark Janaky
